  8. My Onomatapoeia poem is called The Storm, it is about a child lying in bed waiting for a storm to pass then eventually falling asleep.

    THE STORM

I hear the thunder go boom outside,
I hear the rain splashing on the road,
I hear the wind rattle the windows,
I hear the crackle of the fire downstairs,
I hear the ticking of the clock on my wall,
I hear tapping as the rain hits my window,
I hear a thunk as my mum falls out of bed,
I hear the snap of a street lamp breaking,
I hear nothing as I fall asleep,
I hear the birds tweeting in the morning sun.
