Haiku

As part of our poetry unit, 3M also learned about Haiku Poems. “Haiku” is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme.

  1. I have quite a few haikus. Here they are:

    1. Christmas

    It is time now!
    Time to decorate the tree!
    It’s Christmas!

    2. Seasons

    Winter is awake.
The snow falls, and then it melts.
    Spring is now awake.

    3.The Clock

    Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick
    The battery has just stopped
    Very annoying!
