  1. An amethyst is a purple crystal often used in jewellery. It’s found in South America, Russia and the U.S.A in volcanic rocks!

  2. My Daddy took a rock out of the shower and said “Look up this rock, it’s called pumice.” This rock is volcanic and some of them may contain crystals. They are quite a light colour for a volcanic rock and are light and smooth. Pumice is used for smoothing hands and feet and stone-washing jeans. They are found were volcanos are.

  3. A Diamond is a rock made out of a material called carbon.
Diamonds are also the hardest stone substance and are usually used for jewellery.
They are usually found in Southern Africa and places near there.
